Participate with care

Record mitzvot you have done or committed to do. A saved intention counts only after you record it. Share respectfully, without harassment, spam, or someone else’s private information. Only upload photos and words you have permission to share.

Your place in Ruby’s tree

By agreeing during onboarding, you agree that your first name and last initial, completed mitzvah count, and invitation connections may appear in Ruby’s mitzvah trees. People earlier in your invitation chain can see the goodness their invitations inspired. Your full last name, phone number, and other contact details are not shown in the tree.

First name and last initial are an abbreviated name, not a guarantee of anonymity. You can choose Anonymous or turn off your name in the tree in Preferences. Anonymous links may remain to keep other people’s branches connected. Existing privacy choices are not changed by these terms.

Stories and photos

Recording a mitzvah submits its story to the public Goodness feed. Named stories can include your city and state. You choose how your name appears and can leave optional details blank. You allow Mitzvot for Ruby to display the contributions you submit for this purpose. Names, stories, and photos may be reviewed, hidden, or removed.

Invitations and donations

You choose whom to invite and send the invitation yourself. Invitations come from you: the people you invite see your first name and last initial, and your link can include them (for example, doitforruby.com/n/seth-g). Nobody is required to donate or invite anyone else. The embedded donation form is provided by Pledge under its own terms. Mitzvot for Ruby does not collect or hold your donation. A completed donation can be recorded here as a mitzvah; recording it does not process a payment or issue a donation receipt.

Your choices

You can change your display preferences and delete your participation from Preferences. Sign in with your verified phone number to return to your account. Share only your invitation link when inviting someone. Report inappropriate public stories using the report action on the Goodness feed.

We record the version and date of your agreement. Agreeing does not subscribe you to marketing messages.
